Hillis-Carnes Welcomes Environmental Department Manager
Zach Wicks has joined our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania branch office as our Environmental Department Manager. Zach brings with him over 17 years of diverse experience in Environmental Consulting and Management. He holds a B.S. from Shippensburg University in Geo-Environmental Studies and is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) and a licensed Asbestos Building Inspector in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Zach’s technical experience includes Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), hazardous material surveys, asbestos building inspections, x-ray fluorescence (XRF) investigations for lead-based paint, wetland delineations, and long-term monitoring (LTM) projects, including routine soil and groundwater sampling. Zach has managed projects for private, local, state, and Federal clients and has worked on a wide variety of project sites ranging from private properties, municipal and international airports, State and County parks, and multiple military installations, including the Washington Navy Yard, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Naval Air Station Patuxent River, and Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune.
Zach will play a key role in the growth and expansion of HCEA’s environmental capabilities, both technically and geographically. We are very excited to have him on board and look forward to the expertise he will be contributing to Hillis-Carnes!
