Hillis-Carnes Welcomes a New Branch Manager

Arjan S. Kloet has joined our Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, office as Branch Manager.  Arjan brings with him over 20 years of experience in the Management of Field Technicians and Professional Staff, Special Inspections, Geotechnical Engineering, Geotechnical Laboratory Testing, and Environmental Engineering.  He holds a B.S. from Drexel University in Engineering, a B.S. from Northeastern University in Geology, and is currently working towards his M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Arjan’s technical experience includes managing projects that range from construction inspections and testing oversight to large scope geotechnical engineering site assessments that include recommendations and monitoring for foundation construction, environmental site assessments, geologic conditions, stormwater design, earthwork operations, construction sequence, and land development. Other responsibilities include the completion of geotechnical reports and Phase I ESA’s, slope stability analyses, environmental impact statements, sinkhole mitigation, pavement design, and groundwater analyses. He also specializes in carbonate assessments, mine reclamation, retaining wall designs, soil cement designs, special inspections and other topics related to our firm’s core services. Arjan is a member of the American Institute of Professional Geologist, Association of Engineering Geologists, Geological Society of America, and American Society of Civil Engineers.  We are very excited to have him on board and look forward to the expertise he will be contributing to Hillis-Carnes and our Lehigh Valley branch office!
