Hillis-Carnes Promotes Mr. Robbie Brown to Frederick Branch Manager

Hillis-Carnes is proud to announce the promotion of Robbie Brown to the position of Branch Manager of our Frederick, Maryland office. Robbie has been with the firm for almost 20 years and started as an Engineering Technician. Over the years, he has continued to grow in the company, working as a Project Manager and overseeing numerous projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. In 2021, he was then promoted to the CMT Department Manager.

Robbie has extensive experience working with Clients in both the private and public sectors, as well as with projects ranging from residential developments, Frederick County public improvements, multi-story commercial buildings, public works, roadways, big box retail stores, etc. Major areas of responsibilities include the management of the day-to-day operations, management and support of personnel, Business Development, generating proposals, supervising field and office operations, and the management of projects across Maryland. His technical experience consists of micro-pile and caisson inspections; structural backfill for utilities, roadways, building pads, retaining walls and stormwater management facilities; masonry inspections; reinforcing steel inspections; cast-in- place, pre-cast, and post-tensioned concrete testing; and asphalt inspections.

Robbie’s vast experience and knowledge make him an ideal choice for the new Branch Manager position. In addition, his great communication and business development skills have been a huge asset to this firm and have assisted in bringing and retaining a number of clients to HCEA. Mr. Raj Goel, PE, will continue as our Regional Manager and support Robbie.
