HCEA Adds Project Engineer

Nick Barbato, PE has joined our Annapolis Junction, MD office as Geotechnical Project Engineer. Mr. Barbato is a University of Maryland graduate where he earned his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Design and Soil Mechanics. He also graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering, specializing in Geomechanics and Geophysics. Mr. Barbato has over six years of experience providing geotechnical design and construction support for large infrastructure projects. He has led site investigations in the field and developed data/foundation reports for several major transportation projects. In addition, Mr. Barbato has provided geotechnical engineering and construction support for combined-cycle power plants, natural gas liquefaction facilities, transmission lines, refineries and nuclear safety-related facilities and applications throughout the Mid- and South-Atlantic regions, as well as in British Columbia and India. We are excited to have Mr. Barbato on board and look forward to the extensive expertise he will be contributing to HCEA and our Geotechnical Division!
