Hillis-Carnes Acquires the Lab Assets of GeoSystems Consultants, Inc.

Hillis-Carnes is excited to announce that on October 20, 2016 our company acquired all of the laboratory assets from GeoSystems Consultants, Inc. of Ft. Washington, PA. Acquiring over 50 pieces of specialized materials testing laboratory equipment adds significant capabilities to the existing lab services of our Philadelphia area office in Media, PA and to our firm as a whole. In addition to routine index testing, the recent assets acquired allow us to perform high-end geotechnical engineering testing including geosynthetics testing, direct shear testing, unconfined compression, triaxial testing (UU, CIU, CID), carbonate content, consolidation, and falling head and constant head permeability testing. This is all in addition to our existing materials lab capabilities.
