Christopher J. Hillis, PE
Chris supports our Clients with more than 18 years of experience in Construction Materials Testing and Inspection services, Geotechnical Engineering, and Project Management. Chris’ responsibilities include the management of senior and staff level Engineers and Field Technicians, as well as the technical review and preparation of engineering reports and proposals. He has developed and managed Construction Monitoring and Testing programs for construction phase projects and Geotechnical Engineering programs. Chris specializes in inspecting and analyzing deep foundations ranging from drilled shafts to driven piles, including the use of PDA technology and load tests. He has experience performing construction and material inspection and testing of soil, concrete, reinforced concrete, post tension concrete, reinforcing steel, masonry, and pavements.
Chris earned his Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland.
