Hillis-Carnes Adds Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Benjamin B. Gordon, PE has joined our State College, PA office as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, and brings with him over 19 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering and Project Management. Mr. Gordon is a Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute graduate, with B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering, and is a registered Professional Engineer in 21 states. Major areas of responsibility have included the management of multi-disciplined project teams, senior technical review, geotechnical engineering design, subsurface investigations, and the oversight of projects in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Gordon’s technical expertise includes the implementation of subsurface exploration programs, inclinometers and piezometer installations, retaining structures, grouting and slope stability analyses, deep and shallow foundations (including piles, micropiles, and drilled shafts), field testing programs, laboratory testing programs, and instrumentation monitoring programs. We are very excited to have Mr. Gordon on board and look forward to the extensive expertise he will be contributing to Hillis-Carnes!
