New Hire – Jason Joines, PE
Jason Joines, PE, has joined our firm as Regional Manager of our Northeast Region and will spearhead the opening of our New Jersey branch office. We are currently looking for a space in the Edison, NJ, area and hope to be up and running in the next couple of months.
Jason brings over 25 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and inspections, facilities engineering services, and environmental consulting services. He holds a B.S. from Mississippi State University in Geology and an M.S. from West Virginia University in Engineering. Jason is also a registered Professional Engineer in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.
Mr. Joines has an extensive consulting engineering background in all phases of land development, from due diligence to design and construction, as well as the forensic evaluation of existing structures. His technical experience in Environmental Consulting includes environmental site assessments and remediation, industrial hygiene, landfill projects, and hydrogeologic and groundwater applications. Jason also has experience in Geotechnical Engineering performing subsurface explorations in various geologic settings, including karst, infiltration and stormwater management, geosynthetics, paving design and remediation, as well as ground improvement and deep foundation applications.
In addition, Jason has in-depth experience in construction materials testing and special inspections, which consists of the testing and inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, asphalt, floor flatness and levelness, spray-applied fireproofing and fire-stopping, structural steel, post-tensioning, retaining walls, non-destructive testing, wood framing, and third-party code compliance. He has performed specialty and forensic testing applications as well, including property condition assessments, pre/post-construction surveys, existing structure analysis, waterproofing, anchor pull testing, crack monitoring, roofing/building envelope, bank draw reviews, and contractor QA/QC.
Not only does Jason have the vast knowledge and experience it takes to be a successful Regional Manager for our Northeast Region, but he is also an active member of several affiliations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Delaware Valley Geo-Institute (DVGI), Geoprofessional Business Association (GBA), National Society of Engineers (NSPE), American Concrete Institute (ACI), and American Society of Professional Engineers (ASPE).
