Safety Director, Walker Chapman has been on the move attending safety-related events over the past week in support of National Safety Month
Our Safety Director, Walker Chapman, has been on the move attending safety-related events over the past week in support of National Safety Month. Most recently, Mr. Chapman attended the Kids’ Chance of PA Hershey Golf Outing on Wednesday, May 31st, and then attended the 22nd Annual PA Worker’s Compensation Conference the very next day in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
The golf outing was held at the Hershey Country Club, where Professionals came together to network and support the Kids’ Chance of PA organization, which is dedicated to providing hope, opportunity, and scholarships for kids of insured workers. The event had an incredible turnout and not only did Mr. Chapman have a nice time supporting this cause and meeting new faces, but he even took home a trophy for “closest to pin”.
The PA Worker’s Compensation Conference was a two-day event with over 1,300 attendees and 150 exhibitors. They hosted seven speakers who covered various topics such as workers’ comp mediation, genetic testing for drug effectiveness, medical bill payment, workplace safety culture, employee mental health, joint replacement surgery, and more. The resources and networking that go on at this event are invaluable. Attorneys representing both plaintiffs and claimants are present, as well as workers comp commissioners and judges who share best practices. Mr. Chapman enjoyed attending both events and looks forward to supporting more events like this in the future.
